Regulations for Chapter 1: LOVE



'The Convention' or 'the Event' refers to Chapter 1: LOVE, a cultural event taking place from 9am on 13th February to 3pm on 14th February 2010 at Gimnazjum number 13, located at Reja St. 1-3, 50-354 Wrocław, Poland.

'The Convention Venue' refers to the buildings and school grounds under the administration of Gimnazjum number 13, Reja St. 1-3, 50-354 Wrocław, Poland.

'The Regulations' refers to the set of rules governing the behaviour of the Coordinators and the Participants at the Convention.

'The Coordinator' refers to any person significantly contributing to the organisation and overseeing of The Event, who is also responsible for the safety of the Particpants and for ensuring they follow the Regulations.

'The Participant' is any person who paid the entry fee and confirmed their arrival at the Convention by personally signing an attendance list prepared by the Coordinators. In certain special circumstances the Participant may be exempted from the entry fee.

'Security Staff' refers to persons who are assigned the tasks of protecting the safety of all people participating in the Convention and enforcing the Regulations on behalf of the Coordinators.

'The Entry Pass' is the right to participate in the Convention, confirmed by an Identification issued by the Coordinators after the Participant signs an agreement to obey the Regulations.

'The Identification' is a unique document issued to every Participant on the door after verification of the personal details given in the booking form. The Identification confirms its holder posesses an Entry Pass.


1. General provisions



1.1 The Coordinators are unable to provide any form of health insurance (this includes insurance against injuries arising in accidents). The Participants are advised to purchase their own insurance policy. The Participants agree to absolve the Coordinators from all responsibility for any accidental occurences resulting in a loss of life or in injury.


2. Entry Pass purchase and participation in the Convention



2.1 Any person who purchases an Entry Pass during the time period specified by the Coordinators may participate in the Convention.

2.2 If the Participant is underage or legally incapacitated, written consent of their parents or guardians to the Participant's attendance at the Event is required. The consent form is available as a pdf document on our website, and must be filled in and provided to the Coordinators on the door.

2.3 Bookings can only be made by following the instructions detailed in the 'Booking' section of the Convention's website. The entry fee must be paid into the specified bank account by 22nd January 2010 at the latest. The payment may be issued by a third party on behalf of the Participant.

2.4 The Entry Pass cannot be transferred or sold to any third party. Booking cancellations should be reported to the Coordinators by 30th January 2010. No refunds will be available for cancellations made after this date.

2.5 Every person present at the Convention venue during the Event must display the Identification issued by the Coordinators at all times. Transferring the Identification to third parties is prohibited.


3. Rights and responsibilities of the Participants



3.1 The Participants are obliged to behave politely at the Convention Venue during the Event. Nudity is not permitted anywhere at the Convention Venue, with the exception of shower cabins.

3.2 The Participants are obliged to comply with safety regulations, and to assist anyone who needs help. The Participants must immediatelly report any situations involving a threat to the life, health or property of any person present at the Convention Venue during the Event to the Coordinators or the Security Staff.

3.3 The Participants are obliged to follow instructions given by the Coordinators or the Security Staff.

3.4 The Participants are not allowed to bring into and/or use at the Convention Venue any items or substances which may pose a threat to other persons taking part in the Event; in particular:

   •    alcoholic beverages, narcotics or other intoxicants,
   •    weapons of any sort, including practice weapons,
   •    flammable, toxic or radioactive substances,
   •    explosives or pyrotechnic devices,
   •    personal self-defence devices, such as pepper spray, stun guns or batons,

3.5 The Participants are obliged to keep the Convention Venue tidy and to maintain personal hygiene.

3.6 It is forbidden to damage public or private property. Should such an incident take place, the perpetrator is obliged to pay compensation for the damage caused to the victim.

3.7 Smoking is strictly prohibited in all enclosed spaces of the Convention Venue.

3.8 Consumption of alcohol or other intoxicants at the Convention Venue is prohibited. Intoxicated persons are not allowed to enter or remain at the Convention Venue.


4. Rights and responsibilities of the Coordinators



4.1 The Coordinators and the Security Staff are obliged to behave politely towards the Participants, to provide assistance when needed, and also to guarantee the safety of the Participants and ensure they comply with the Regulations.

4.2 The Coordinators have the right to remove any Participant from the Convention Venue for breaching the Regulations. Such persons are not entitled to a refund of the entry fee.

4.3 The Security Staff have the right to search the Participants' belongings in order to prevent or detect breaches of the Regulations.

4.4 The Coordinators are not responsible for any belongings left unattended by the Participants.


5. Final provisions


5.1 All Coordinators and Participants of the Convention are obliged to comply with the specified Regulations.

5.2 A breach of the Regulations is a ground for removal of a person from the Convention Venue without the right of a refund of the entry fee.

5.3 Refusal to accept the Regulations is equivalent to resigning the right to participate in the Convention.

5.4 The Coordinators reserve the right to revise the Regulations without prior notification. The revised version of the Regulations will be immediatelly published on the Convention website www.miohi.pl.

5.5. The purchase of an Entry Pass is equivalent to accepting the Regulations.

5.6. In instances not explicitly covered by the Regulations all decisions remain in the sole discretion of the Coordinators.
